Congratulations to all the brave debaters, committed adjudicators and amazing staff who made the 2015 Fuhsing-National Taiwan University Debate Open possible! We had an amazing turnout and some fantastic motions. A list of memorable highlights of this debate tournament can not exclude the list of three motions for the Grand Finals - all of which addresses fundamental political, social of cultural beliefs in Taiwan. After all, what is debating if not to ask the questions where others might not dare to ask? First and foremost, the tournament rankings - for both individual and team - have already been released by our dedicated tabmaster - David from National Taiwan University. You can see the tabs here.

Many congratulations to our Top 10 speakers of the tournament. We would particularly like to highlight the top high school debaters as well who made it into the top 10 speakers overall in the main category - Vanilla Chen from Wenzao, Ko-Jen (Karen) Wu from Pu Tai High School and Brian Wu from IBST, who also grabbed the Top Speaker Award. Well-done! As you may know, the tournament served as the first stage for the 2015 WSDC Team Taiwan try-outs. We are proud and excited to invite the following high school students to return next weekend for the second stage of try-out selections: Cheng Shiuan (Brian) Wu -- IBST Ko-Jen (Karen) wu -- Pu Tai Senior High Yi-Ting (Vanilla) Chen -- Wenzao Chieh-Yu (Anita) Chen -- Wenzao Hsuan-Ya (Charlotte) Chao -- Taipei Fuhsing Hsin-Tzu (Amity) Yang -- Wenzao Jin-En (Gene) Chou -- Taipei Fuhsing Ting-Rey Hu -- Taipei Wego Chia Wen (Ruby) Tang -- IBST Kai-Yang (Derek) Chou -- Chien Kuo Municipal
